What We Do

About us

World class expertise and methodologies for IVD assessment

Our four clinical themes  – Oncology, Infection Diagnostics, Musculoskeletal Disease, and Renal Medicine are led by clinical academics and consultants with extensive, specialist diagnostic expertise. Each clinical theme has access to cross-cutting methodological knowledge in four areas; clinical trials and study design, health economics, health informatics, and multi-disciplinary pathology. These are essential components for the development of in vitro diagnostics (IVDs) and we are one of the only organisations in our field with access to these services in-house.

Ensuring that patients and the wider public are involved in what we do is vital, so we have developed a patient and public involvement and engagement group to help steer our research. Patients bring a wealth of experience and provide valuable insight on the way diagnostic tests are developed and accepted by those who will use them. Patient input enables us to shape our strategy, identify opportunities and address current needs.

IVD success is our core focus and we provide access to world-leading medical practitioners, academics, and clinical networks, bringing together patients, clinicians, researchers, commissioners, and industry.
